A Letter from the President
Howdy,
As President of the Northeast Tarrant County (NETC) Aggie Moms' Club for 2011-2012, I want to welcome you to our organization and to a year of exciting meetings and events in support of our students at Texas A&M University. NETC Aggie Moms' is a wonderful organization that cares about you and the comfort and welfare of your sons and daughters. In addition to serving as President, I am an Aggie, I am married to an Aggie and my daughter Rachel is a proud member of the fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2012 (WHOOP!). I have been involved in the club since 2008 and have witnessed firsthand the benefits of the Club's generosity.
Being involved in NETC Aggie Moms' allows you to learn about Texas A&M and its honored traditions and to develop many friendships. Aggie Moms have been a tradition at Texas A&M University since 1922. There are over 119 clubs spread over 6 states nationwide, and our chapter is beginning its 15th year with over 100 members, making it one of the largest clubs in the Federation. We have many exciting events planned for this year to help support our students and uphold the traditions of TAMU. They include:
- Aggie Mom Fish Camp '11 on November 11-13 at the Best Western Atrea at Old Town Center, Bryan
- NETC Aggie Moms' Golf Scramble on October 24th at Timarron Country Club
- Goodie Bags for the students twice a year
- Providing scholarships and supporting on-campus student organizations
- Ride shares and networking for students and Moms
Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month, September - May. We offer informative, entertaining, thoughtful and resourceful programs related to life at Texas A&M, along with time for networking with other Aggie Moms and refreshments.
Once again, welcome to our Club! We look forward to a great year and many opportunities to support your Aggies in their exciting journey at Texas A&M University.
Thanks and Gig'em,
Theresa G. Stuteville, President, NETC Aggie Moms' Club
